Every holiday season there are three movies that I can't go without seeing (otherwise it doesn't feel like Christmas) and they are...
1.Annie.Victor Garber. Kathy Bates. Kristin Chenowith. AUDRA MCDONALD. Music. Dancing. Singing. All with a Disney twist...do I really have to go on? Lol. Ironically enough the movie takes place during The Great Depression...it'll make anyone wish they could be adopted by a "Daddy Warbucks" today.
2.It's A Wonderful Life. This movie kind of just fell into my lap. My parents always watched it, but as a kid, a movie that is in all black and white really isn't gonna hold my attention for too long. I always watched the "swimming pool" scene and then kept it moving. But as I got older and started to understand what the film was about, I started to love it. "It's a Wonderful Life", like "A Christmas Carol" is a blueprint for all those "what if I was never born" holiday episodes on tv. It makes you laugh, cry, angry, and happy all at the same time. I've since been able to find a version in color...but now I prefer black and white:).
3.White Christmas. Another movie I didn't understand until I was older, it features dancing, singing, and four of the greatest musical performers in American history. I wrote a blog on it around this time last year so check it for details on the plot.
...well....that's all folks! Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
